The Superior Health Plan Family Adventure Challenge Race
Onsite and Late registration will be available on:
Friday, May 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
and on Saturday, May 20 beginning at 6 a.m.
before the competitions begin at the RRISD Athletic Complex.
You don’t have to be a marathon runner or fitness buff to be a Family Adventure Challenge Race superstar! You and your teammates can be bookworms, musicians, or artists and reign supreme on the Family Adventure Challenge Race course! Teams of TWO or THREE compete by completing exciting challenges that test physical, mental and artistic abilities and, above all, the ability to work together as a team!
Two Divisions – Youth Division and Adult-Youth Division
- Youth Division:
* 2-3 participants
* Participants must be under 18 years of age
- Adult-Youth Division:
* 2-3 participants
* One participant must be over 18 years of age
- Fees: $15 per team
The Challenges: There are three types of challenges your team will have to complete:
- The Artistic Challenges – The Artistic Challenges will be crazy activities that will give you a different perspective of the word “ART”. Your team will possibly “group paint”, transform one of your teammates into a sculpture, sing, dance, or play instruments. Perfection is not an issue for these events; FUN, however, is!
- Physical Challenges – With the physical challenges, your team will test its collective strength, endurance and skill, all while having an absolute blast! Your team’s “Jock” will lead your team through the physical challenges, which can be completed by all team members, regardless of fitness level. Your team will have to work together to complete the challenges, which will involve dipping, diving, ducking, climbing and so much more!
- The Mental Challenges – THINK! With the Mental Challenges, your team will discover the limits of its combined brainpower! Your team’s “Mental Giant” will lead you through the mindbending mental challenges. Your team must work together to complete the challenges, which include puzzle & problem solving, memorization, brain-teasers and trivia, along with many surprises!
